Seems like LG is eager to showcase its the G4 flagship smartphone to the world ahead of its launch on April 28. The company has released numerous teasers and statements, and thus far had confirmed a 5.5-inch QHD IPS display, the presence of LG UX 4.0, and a rear f/1.8 aperture camera, besides tipping laser autofocus and LED flash. On Thursday however, the firm's components and materials division LG Innotek revealed the resolution of both the front and back camera modules on the LG G4.
While the firm in its previous teaser video as well as countdown clock just mentioned the f/1.8 aperture for the rear camera of the LG G4, it now has revealed that the rear shooter will include a 16-megapixel sensor. This would match it closely with theSamsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, which both feature 16-megapixel rear cameras with a f/1.9 aperture. As per the announcement, LG's Innotek plant has started mass-producing the module this week.
Detailing its "ground breaking" 16-megapixel f/1.8 aperture camera setup, LG says that the module will receive 80 percent more light than its current LG G3 handset's camera, which sports a 13-megapixel rear sensor with optical image stabilisation and laser autofocus tech, which also will come housed inside the LG G4. Google as previously rumoured is said to be planning a monthly subscription service, one that will let users watch YouTube videos free of ads.
YouTube is said to have sent out an email to its content creators noting it is looking to offer a new paid subscription service that will give "fans an ad-free version of YouTube for a monthly fee".

The service may debut by the end of the year, reported Bloomberg on Wednesday citing a person familiar with Google's plan for YouTube.

facebook_eye_reuters.jpg
An Austrian law graduate spearheading a class action case against Facebook for alleged privacy breaches officially filed the suit in a Vienna court on Thursday.
In a closely-watched case, Max Schrems and 25,000 other users are suing the social media giant for various rights violations, ranging from the "illegal" tracking of their data under EU law to Facebook's involvement in the Prism surveillance programme of the US National Security Agency (NSA).
"Basically we are asking Facebook to stop mass surveillance, to (have) a proper privacy policy that people can understand, but also to stop collecting data of people that are not even Facebook users," 27-year-old Schrems told AFP in an interview this week.
The case has been brought against Facebook's European headquarters in Dublin, which registers all accounts outside the United States and Canada making up some 80 percent of Facebook's 1.35 billion users.

Google Calendar for Android Brings Back Month View, Gets Minor UI Changes

google_calendar_52_version_month_view_gmail_google_plus.jpg
Google will soon be rolling out version 5.2 of its Google Calendar app with new features and minor UI changes, as per the announcement made by the company.
One of the major and much-needed feature that will be included in the latest version of Google Calendar will be the Month View feature for smartphones. The company had removed the feature when launching v5.0 of the app back in November, and only showed views based on one day, 3 days and one week.
Besides viewing more number of events at glance under the month view, the new Google Calendar app will also show the colour of events when jumping to a date. As for the user interface, these views will now be included under the navigation drawer inside the app and not under the three-dot 'More' option on the top right corner.
The updated Google Calendar app is rolling out gradually to Android devices. The search engine however, has added on its Gmail Google+ post that they will be bringing "many improvements" to the iPhone app as well. For those Android users who don't want to wait for the OTA update, they can manually download and install the update via the Google-signed apk file posted by Android Police.
Last month, Google launched its Calendar app for iPhone. Just like the new Google Calendar on Android, the iPhone app can automatically turn emails into Calendar events. So if you get an email with place, time, and date (not as attachment), then Google Calendar saves it as event entry to remind you later. Users can also disable the feature.
