Mobile messaging service WhatsApp has rolled out an update that allows users to know if their texts have been read by the receiver.
Earlier, users were only notified of messages being sent and delivered. While one grey tick meant a message has been successfully sent, two grey ticks showed it has been delivered. The latest update by WhatsApp notifies users with two blue ticks if their message has been read.
The app now also shows the exact time a text was sent. Users need to press and hold down on a particular post to know the accurate time the message was sent to them.
The updates are being rolled out for users across platforms.
Pressing an individual message for 2 seconds reveals the 'Message Info' option, which further shows the exact time the message was opened, read or played.

Though the new update has gathered mixed reviews from the users, with some being happy to know that the other person, be it their colleagues spouse or friends can't dany the fact that they saw their messages, other are worried they may have to respond to each message and can't get ignorance anymore!
