Google Play Rejects 'Postal' Game Due to Gratuitous Violence

It's a known fact by now that many a developer has had issues in interpreting Google Play policies. And while the company has stressed on inclusivity above all else, its actions dictate otherwise.
Recently Google announced a rating system for Google Play in an attempt to "create better user experiences". One of the side-effects of this system is that games like Postal - a top-down gore-filled shooter, has been rejected from Google Play. It's an odd turn of events given that games like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Game of Thrones, and countless others are still present on Google Play. Most of these games depict violence in a fashion that's a lot more graphic than Postal does.
"Unfortunately it appears POSTAL has been rejected from Google Play due to it containing "GRATUITOUS VIOLENCE". Sadly this means it won't be welcomed alongside the Grand Theft Auto series, Carmageddon and horde of Zombie games on Google Play," a post on the forums of developer, Running With Scissors, reads.
Fans of this old school series should not fear. Running With Scissors allayed concerns saying that the game will be made available through other channels.
